Foreign ratings equivalence
資歷互換
Anyone undertaking paragliding activities within the territory of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region should possess a HKPA paragliding rating to illustrate you are qualified, competent and fit to conduct the paragliding activity. The HKPA certifies individuals qualified to teach and certifies paraglider at various levels of competence. Holders of FAI recognized foreign pilot rating may apply for HKPA rating through equivalence. As HKPA adopt APPI system, APPI rating could be directly convert to HKPA rating.
For individuals who wish to upgrade their rating, please upload the corresponding license and email our EC member expressing your intention to upgrade.
在香港特別行政區範圍內從事滑翔傘活動的任何人，應持有香港滑翔傘協會的滑翔傘証書以闡明自己具備合適資格和能力，及身體狀況適合的情況下進行滑翔傘飛行活動。本會認證具不同程度技能的滑翔傘運動員 。持有FAI認可機構發出的滑翔傘證書者，可透過互換制度獲取香港滑翔傘協會的滑翔傘証書。由於香港滑翔傘協會與APPI合作採取該系統，APPI資歷持有者可以直接轉換為HKPA資歷。
希望更新資歷的人士，請上傳相應的滑翔傘証書並向我們執行委員會成員發送電子郵件，表明更新資歷的意願。Foreign Pilot ratings to HKPA rating mapping:
Holders of foreign and other pilot and instructor ratings may apply for HKPA ratings through direct equivalence.Equivalence to HKPA Intermediate Pilot (HKPA 4) level and above may be approved, subject to the assessment by the EC, on the merit of the individual case and supporting documentation provided.

*HKPA 4 applicants are required to submit foreign pilot rating issued by FAI recognized organization AND two 30km+ open distance/flat triangle/FAI triangle track logs certifying they are eligible to the scheme.
**HKPA 5 applicants are required to submit foreign pilot rating issued by FAI recognized organization AND three 50km+ open distance/flat triangle/FAI triangle track logs AND SIV training records certifying they are eligible to the scheme.
*** HKPA EC reserve the final decision on granting the HKPA rating through foreign paragliding license.
