Event Description:

Further to report #6 :"

I had another incident about 6 weeks ago where a guy collapsed his cute about 40ft up and dropped straight down. He was unconscious for a couple of minutes and I called an ambulance for him. He landed in almost a bad spot and was incredibly lucky to miss the path and a fence post.

He was a Chinese lad, red chute, and his back up was up on the plateau when he dropped."

Committee Response: (if any )

This accident could have been avoided by a better approach to land. Set up early for the LAnding, Visit the LZ before the flight if it is your first time. His "back up" on the ridge most likely was a HK local who should have given a site briefing to the pilot.

Committee Action: (if any )
