Details:

A pilot holding a Novice (PG2) Licence with 2-3 years of experience whist flying at Ma On Shan at approximately 15-1700hrs on Saturday 28th of January 2017.

The conditions at the time were reported to be Smooth with a E wind blowing approximately 0-10kph. The temperature was 20-24deg C with Some Cloud and Slight Haze Visibility.

There were reported to be 6-10 pilots at the site.

Event Description:

Pilot had a good launch with a new wing. Good lift. High EN B wing was new to the pilot and turns were more precise than expected. Pilot landed in a tree in the bottom LZ. Pilot uninjured, but the tree was damaged excessively when the wing was retrieved (complaint received from an instructor).
