Details:

A pilot holding a Solo Novice (PG2) Licence with 1 years of experience whist flying at Shek O at approximately 15-1700hrs on Sunday 11th of December 2016.

The conditions at the time were reported to be Gusting with a NE wind blowing approximately 21-25kph. The temperature was 20-24deg C with A Little Cloud and Unlimited Visibility.

There were reported to be 11-15 pilots at the site.

Event Description:

Pilot stalled the wing with excessive brake causing the wing to collapse on short final. He fell from 3-4meters impacting the ground a few meters from the golf club fence. Ambulance called and the pilot was removed by the paramedics on a spine board.
