Event Description:

Hello members

The committee have recently received emails from our regulator the CAD regarding the photograph taken on the 3rd of November 2012.

The picture shows 2 paragliders on the promenade of Sai Kung harbour. As the 3/11/2012 is a Saturday there is quite the crowd.

The HKCAD would like to know who the people in the picture are and why they are obviously landing outside the designated flying area.

Please contact me at this email address to let me know the names involved. The glider in the background shows its colours easily and the close up of the second pilot should be easily identifiable.

The people involved will have the opportunity to explain ( without police action ) what happened in this incident prior to me making my report if they come forward.

As safety officer I will approach pilots in the future if I recognise them from this photograph.

This is an example of what we face when we fly outside our paragliding zone and make mistakes. The CAD are concerned about the Safety of the public and the property of the public.

PLEASE DO NOT FLY OUTSIDE THE DESIGNATED ZONES - (ESPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS !! )...

Please use good judgement and fly safely.

Committee Response: (if any )

Please do not fly outside the Paragliding Areas. Especially on the weekends.

Committee Action: (if any )

Investigating
