Event Description:

I took off from the east Lantau takeoff, it was the third flight of the day, and conditions were smooth throughout the day. On my last flight at around 1500 I had flown to the eastern edge of sunset peak at around 500 m. When I arrived the wind picked up and I was no longer able to make it back to the normal landing so I elected to land at the beach in pui O. I landed safely on the beach, on the western corner of Pui O beach clear of the enclosed swimming area. I was approached by a man whom asked for my ID, and I explained that I landed due the wind picking up and was not able to make it back to our normal landing area. I gave him my details and went on to pack my glider.
